"I became a 911 dispatcher just a little over 5 years ago. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, I thought I would just come in and answer phones.... boy was I wrong! I have always had a passion to help others, it's just such a great feeling. I often get asked what I do for a living, and when I tell people they automatically say "wow, I couldn't do that” and thank me. This job has changed me for the better, mentally. We simply do not know what people go through, and knowing you have helped someone in need is just the greatest feeling. I've met some incredible people in the line of work who are actually my 2nd family. I'm proud to say I am a 911 dispatcher.”
